The truck laid at rest (in the garage, behind Aidan and me) from 1981 until 1995.
We drove this as our main vehicle from 1970-1975 (yes, it looked like this)
Nice bumper - a handsome vehicle.
The rear sill was rotted through from side-to-side. The rear floor mat was cracked and stained.
The right and left floorboard was rotted away. The cab had dropped down below the frame (about 2").
Notice the mouting block (one of four) at the left rear; the gas tank mounts to the right of it. Bob LeBlanc made new blocks out of Maple.
The metal support strips underneath the rear floor were re-usable. Notice the split mounting block. Des had already done metalwork on the rear quarters.
Another view of under the rear (plywood) floorboard. I do not know why a hole had been cut through the floor.
The rear trim strips were still there (verticle, on the left).
Make & friend drove the Suburban to Des's for magnificent metal repair.
